What if you stopped believing that life (or God) is punishing you?
I’ve been thinking a lot about karma lately.
In particular, I’m having multiple experiences that seem to be inviting me into deeper levels of energy alchemy around my Human Design profile (5/2).
I’ve got a post in the works on what I’ve been going through and it will make it into the light of day at some point.
But, in the meantime, I wanted to share with you my current thoughts on karma.
If your muse has led you to my work, there is a huge chance that you are holding some religious trauma.
I think we all have religious trauma. Most folks just aren’t aware of it.
But, the people who are deeply drawn into the true essence of my work - Unconditional Love, Grace, and Forgiveness - have a conscious process running in the background.
My people are unwinding and healing their relationship with that thing that some call God. They are polishing the mirror. They are re-establishing a remembrance of who they really are and the voice of their Muse.
Those are the things I’ve been doing for almost two decades.
And for us who were raised in a Western religion that evangelizes a punishing and wrathful God, the word karma can seem like a big heavy bag of shame.
So, when Human Design talks about the karma that a profile has, it is easy to see why people think their profile is a punishment or payback for “wrong” doings.
In fact, in the Human Design Map, I’ve gone back and forth on how I approach this topic because unwinding profile has been SO healing for me personally. I never want to imply that any part of your design is a punishment.
And while I can never pretend to understand karma from the perspective of those who were raised in cultures where karma is a foundational part of their belief system, I have recently come to a place that is empowering me to work with the karma of my profile on an even deeper level.
Take ‘em or leave ‘em, here are my thoughts on Karma:
We are the Divine playing a game of hide and seek with ourselves.
We chose to incarnate on Earth, in a human body with a human brain because the brain operates on duality.
Our brains create a world of contrast where we forget and remember and we forget again.
We get wrapped up in our ego and let the mind run the ship.
And, as Ram Dass says, our karma is our mind.
The karma we are working through isn’t punishment. It’s the play of forgetting and remembering. It’s how the game works.

All dance around, dancing on your thunder.

And each time we remember, we transmute karma.
As we incarnate into the infinite possibilities of the Human Design chart, we transmute different layers of karma.
It is the transmuting of Karma, the remembering, that makes the game worth playing.
Our karma isn’t a punishment. It’s our game.
Life isn’t happening to you. You aren’t being punished for being wrong, bad, or originally sinful.
It is all happening for you. For your Divine Play. For the Lila of your muse.
